We contacted Frederieke, who put us in touch with another nursery. Their experience was decisive for us. We also discussed the sheets with the GGD (Community Health Service), safety is always paramount.<\/p>\n<p>The NUNKI sheet applies pressure, and we see this experience mirrored in the child. After playing nicely. Then comes our care moment, where we prepare the child for sleep. We explain step-by-step what we are going to do. When we are in the bedroom, we tell them where we are and show them the sheet. We place the child in bed, and sometimes the child experiences immediate calmness, while other times tears may arise. All of this is permissible. We continue to explain what we are going to do. However, once the child experiences the pressure from the sheet, you see calmness emerge. We tell them we are going to close it up further and that they can go to sleep. Where children previously needed us more to fall asleep, they can now fall asleep on their own. They sleep longer and deeper. The calmness it brings is very valuable. We consider freedom of movement to be very important, and the NUNKI sheet offers this. It moves with the child, but from that movement, it provides pressure, safety, and security.
